May 25 is the Day of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, the Day of Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution Workers in Ukraine, the International Day of Missing Children. In the church calendar - the third discovery of the head of Ivan the Forerunner.

The date for the holiday was not chosen by chance, because on this day in 2006, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to establish the State Special Communications Administration on the basis of the Department of Special Telecommunications Systems and Information Protection of the Security Service of Ukraine, which was liquidated. The establishment of a professional holiday provides an opportunity to inform the general public about the real purpose and tasks of the units of the State Special Service.

The war with Russia is taking place in the conditions of the digital era, the achievements of which the enemy is actively using for aggressive actions against Ukraine. The number of enemy cyberattacks on the information infrastructure of Ukraine increased several times after the full-scale Russian invasion, but we did not succeed in causing irreparable damage to the enemy. This fact proves that the work of specialists of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection has become critically important for effective resistance to the enemy
