Wilson Sporting Goods announced Tuesday a multiyear partnership with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, marking her as the first woman basketball player to receive a signature ball. This collaboration will include Clark's debut signature basketball collection and support for the Caitlin Clark Foundation.
"Wilson has been with me through some of the most pivotal moments in my career, and I couldn't be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside them," Clark said in a press release. "It feels surreal to have my own basketball collection and to influence what that means for future generations of athletes."
In an email to CBS Sports, Wilson confirmed that Clark is the first female athlete to have a signature basketball collection with the company.
Clark, selected first overall by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer from Iowa. Her historic college career, which included two NCAA championship appearances, played a significant role in Wilson's decision to collaborate with her.
"Wilson is made to celebrate the most iconic moments in sport, and we have always aligned ourselves with trailblazers who break boundaries and write their own story," said Amanda Lamb, Wilson's Head of Global Brand. "Caitlin Clark is not just a record-setting athlete but a cultural icon who has profoundly impacted the game. We couldn't be prouder to join forces with her to continue innovating basketball both on and off the court."
Wilson will release exclusive collections to celebrate Clark, including her signature basketball line set to debut later this year. The first drop, available Tuesday, features three unique laser engravings commemorating Clark's growing legacy, including her iconic "get hype" celebration.
As part of the Wilson family, Clark will test, advise, and provide feedback on Wilson basketball products to support improvements at all levels of the game. Additionally, Wilson has committed to supporting the Caitlin Clark Foundation, which aims to uplift and improve the lives of youth through education, nutrition, and sport.
Clark currently represents companies like State Farm, Gatorade, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. She also reportedly signed a $28 million deal with Nike, which includes a signature shoe.
