India vs. Pakistan: Woodbridge restaurants host watch parties for celebrated cricket rivalry

null

At Shahi Palace Restaurant & Steak House in Nassau County, New York, Pakistani cricket fans gathered to watch a highly anticipated game. Meanwhile, at Big Shots Restaurant and Lounge in Woodbridge, energy and excitement filled the patio as fans fixed their eyes on the screen for what is considered the biggest matchup of the T20 Cricket World Cup: the fierce rivalry between Pakistan and India.

Kamel Singh and his friends joined the watch party hosted by Bollywood Bash. "It's just so fun to watch,” Singh remarked. “This is the game you're always looking for... it has always been very competitive. Both teams are of the same standard.”

Sanaa Hameed traveled from Cliffside Park to join the viewing party at Shahi Palace. "I didn't make it to the stadium to watch it live, but it's nice that a lot of the restaurants in the area are doing this because it's more fun to watch with fans and everyone together," Hameed shared.

Business owners recognized the importance of supporting the community by hosting watch parties, providing a space for fans to come together and cheer for their teams. "We have lots and lots of Indian communities surrounding this area also... people love this place," said BK Patel, co-owner of Big Shots.
