The Israeli military initiated operations in northern Gaza overnight, conducting "precise operations" in eastern Rafah, near the Rafah crossing, and in the area of Zeitoun in central Gaza. These actions precede a planned full-scale invasion.
The death toll in the Strip since October 7 has risen to over 35,000, as reported by the Ministry of Health.
In response to calls for evacuation in northern Gaza, including Jabalya, the Israel Defense Forces launched an operation citing intelligence indicating Hamas' attempts to rebuild its terrorist infrastructure and operatives in the area.
Video footage captured heavy gunfire, Israeli tanks, and the sound of drones in the vicinity of Jabalya early Sunday.
