Popular singer Justin Timberlake (43) was arrested by police in New York state on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and was later released after being detained.
According to police, Timberlake was found driving a car while intoxicated at around 12:37 a.m. local time on the 18th in Sag Harbor, California. The BMW he was driving did not stop at a stop sign and was running out of its lane.
According to court records, when police pulled over Timberlake, he said he had had one martini and was going to a friend's house. He had bloodshot eyes and a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

Sag Harbor police officers described Timberlake as drowsy, slurred, unsteady on his feet and failed all field sobriety tests.
He allegedly refused to take a breathalyzer test three times, saying, "I don't want to take a chemical test.

Timberlake was arrested shortly after leaving a hotel in Sag Harbor, a Hampton town on eastern Long Island, New York, according to sources.
Timberlake is currently on tour, with his next performance scheduled for the 21st in Chicago
