Sweden transfers the ASC 890 DRLV aircraft to Ukraine

The use of these aircraft over the territory of Ukraine and their combat work, together with their storage, adds tasks to the responsible services of Ukraine.

After all, its presence will immediately interest the occupiers, and after the destruction of several A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, it will become a priority target.

In Sweden, it was noted that the transfer will affect the country's defense capabilities, and this will be solved by purchasing a new Global Eye anti-aircraft missile.

To further strengthen Ukraine's air defense, the support package also included Rb 99 (AMRAAM) missiles, which can be used both on aircraft and in ground-based air defense systems.

Rb 99 is a licensed version of the American AIM-120B missile (AMRAAM) with a launch range of up to 70 kilometers, which was previously assembled in Sweden

The new package worth SEK 13.3 billion will also include artillery 155 mm ammunition.

It will be recalled that the Swedish government recently ordered a batch of new CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine from BAE Systems.
