Copa Libertadores da América: Flamengo and Palmeiras win

beat Bolívar 4-0 at Maracanã, securing second place in group E In São Paulo , Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras secured first place in the group, by beating Independiente Del Valle 2-1, leading group F of the Libertadores da América.     

Flamengo beat Bolívar from Bolivia 4-0, on Wednesday-15. The result keeps the red and black team alive in the competition, depending only on themselves to advance to the round of 16. The score was almost entirely built in the first half, with goals from Gerson, Ayrton Lucas and Cebolinha. In the second stage, Pedro completed the result.

With the victory, Flamengo moved up one position, taking second place in Group E, with seven points. The number is the same as the Palestinian, who loses in the tiebreaker criteria. Bolívar continues with ten points, in first place.

Upcoming appointments

Next week, Flamengo goes to Manaus to face Amazonas, in the Copa do Brasil. The following week, they will return to the Libertadores to face Millonarios, from Colombia, who have no chance of qualifying.

The CBF's decision determined the Brazilian's suspension for two rounds due to the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, the Rio club will not play next weekend.

At Allianz Parque, Palmeiras confirms classification

Palmeiras is on track to be the best in the group stage, for the sixth time in the last seven editions of the Libertadores da América. 

Richard Ríos and Gustavo Gómez scored the goals for Palmeiras, who beat Independiente del Valle 2-1, at Allianz Parque, guaranteeing an early place in the round of 16 of the Conmebol Libertadores (Lautaro Díaz scored the goal for the Ecuadorians) with the victory over Verdão took the overall lead in the tournament, and if confirmed at the end of the group stage, it will give them the advantage of deciding at home. In the last seven editions, the Alviverde team finished the group stage with the best score on six occasions, being champions twice.

How is the Palmeiras group? 

With this victory, Palmeiras reached 13 points, leading Group F and guaranteed qualification to the round of 16. All other teams in the group (San Lorenzo, Del Valle and Liverpool-URU) have four points.

Palmeiras only returns to the field on the 23rd, at 7pm, against Botafogo-SP, in Ribeirão Preto, for the return of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. In the Libertadores, the next match is on the 30th, at 7pm, against San Lorenzo, at Allianz Parque
