The inauguration ceremony of the 16th President and Vice President took place in front of the Presidential Palace today. The inauguration program focused on "Weaving together Taiwan and marching forward for democracy", with performances by the National Military Band and new President Lai Ching-te. After greeting the crowd with outgoing President Tsai Ing-wen, 9 sections of exciting performances will begin. After the 9 sections of performances, the entire audience will fire a 21-gun salute and sing the national anthem in unison; then, President Lai Ching-te will deliver an inaugural speech; Lai Ching-te delivers a speech After the ceremony is over, there will be an "air parade" in the sky to pay tribute to the head of state of our country, and then the whole audience will sing the song "Rainbow" and "Start Again"; and the finale will be the "Air Force Thunder Tiger Team Aerial Charge", with three colors of blue, white and red. The colorful smoke of victory represents the successful completion of today’s 520 inauguration ceremony 

Today's ceremony begins with the entry of the National Military Ceremonial Band, which performs representative military songs of the three armed forces, including land, sea, and air forces, as well as music that combines musical elements from various ethnic groups in Taiwan, and matches the diverse and rich formation changes of the military ceremony corps. Showing the spirit of the Chinese military's diligent training and safeguarding democracy, the new President Lai Ching-te and the outgoing President Tsai Ing-wen paid tribute to the crowd and performed nine major programs.

The first program performance was performed by the National Taiwan Academy of Drama, Taiwan Stunt Troupe, and Jiutian B&B Art Troupe. Through Gezi Opera, Hakka Opera and Zhuangyuan Tune, a difficult 4-story human tower was stacked amidst the majestic drums to " The performance was themed "Pray for Good Luck, Happy Taiwan". 

The second program featured more than 150 students from the Jianzhong Band and Flag Troupe, the Dragon Dance Team, Baseball Team, and Aboriginal Dance Team of the National Sports University, performing "Youth Plays Together, Vibrant Taiwan."

In the third program, the TBC Dance Company combines popping mechanical dance, hip-hop street dance, and break dance, which will be officially listed as a competition event in the 2024 Paris Olympics, to perform "Dancing to Make Wind, Free Taiwan."

The fourth program was presented by the Paper Windmill Troupe, "Peace, Happiness, and Resilience in Taiwan." A large-scale "Rain Horse" with a height of 10 meters and a weight of 7 tons sang "Dream Hair Pump", a new school song in Hakka language, with singer Xu Shihui. There will be 200 people from all over the world performing together. The "Rain Horse" also symbolizes Taiwan's gentle and firm strength, and the "Rainbow" represents the peace after the rain. Every flower carries the seeds of dreams, representing our love for peace. Persistence and protection of happiness.

The sixth program, "Classic Praise, Extending the Sound of Taiwan" by the Taiwan Festival Choir, uses acapella and four-part chorus to interweave familiar classic melodies with special singing voices.

In the seventh program, Golden Melody Award winner Ilid Kaolo and the dancers who broke into the theater performed a number of classic songs.

The eighth program featured a number of Taiwanese songs by Zhou Zi and students from the Zhuangjing Advanced Industrial Housework Vocational School, dedicated to every Taiwanese who has worked hard for this land, "together for generations to build Taiwan." .

The ninth program, "Move Bravely, Be Confident in Taiwan" presented by the Fire Extinguisher Band and Harbin Bandang, hopes to penetrate all generations with 

explosive singing and is dedicated to every hard-working unknown hero on this island.

After the 9-part performance program ends, there will be a singing session of the national anthem. First, the National Army Salute Battery gave the highest military salute of 21 gun salutes. At the same time, a CH-47SD Chinook troop transport helicopter hoisted a huge national flag, and was escorted by 2 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to form a national flag team. In sequence, there were 3 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, 3 AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopters and 3 Navy S-70C anti-submarine helicopters. Each formed a rotor wing team and followed the national flag team through the sky above the Presidential Palace.

After the Rotator Team passed, the four former top players of the Chinese Professional Baseball League, including Brother Elephant Chen Yixin, Wei Chuanlong Huang Pingyang, Unified Lion Xie Changheng, and Sanshang Tiger Kang Mingshan, etc. sang the national anthem on the stage. 

The national anthem ended and President Lai Ching-te delivered his inaugural speech. After the speech, 5 F-16V (blk20) fighters, 5 IDF Chingguo fighters, 5 Mirage 2000-5 fighters, and 5 Brave Eagle new high-education aircraft symbolizing the state-made national aircraft formed a 5-aircraft formation in sequence. Flying from north to south in front of the Presidential Palace to pay tribute to the head of state.

Finally, the Burrayan Dance Troupe, Pingtung County Qingye Elementary School Chorus and Miaoli County Jianguo Elementary School Choir sang "Rainbow" and "Start Again", and the Air Force Thunder Tiger Group sang at the same time. They rushed onto the field in the formation of wild geese and released the blue, white and red victory smoke representing the blue sky, white sun and red earth, marking the end of the inauguration ceremony of the 16th President and Vice President.
